Bloomfield is the finest bluegrass town nobody has heard of. In the late 1880s it was the pride of far southwest Sonoma County. But then, the railroad passed it by, the river silted in, the shops closed, and Bloomfield traveled down that long lonesome road. Someone should write a song! But every now and then the dogs bark and ranchers prick up their ears: Is that bluegrass we hear? Yep, the Bloomfield Bluegrass Band is back in the saddle, cranking out tunes in the little old cabin up on the hill.
Bloomfield Bluegrass Band was formed in Sonoma County in 2017 by bandleader, Patrick Campbell. Over the years, members have gone off to college, become teachers, engineers, internationally touring musicians, joined spiritual groups, and just moved on. Our reputation now allows us to now draw on the top bluegrass players in the Bay Area. We have performed as a traditional five-piece band, as a quartette, and even as a trio, depending on the venue. We love playing winery events, weddings, private parties, clubs and pubs, and environmental organization gatherings.
